Restoration (RCC) is an interdenominational, Christ Centered, family-oriented ministry conceived in the hearts of Apostle Robert D. & Pastor Stella L. Taylor. After much prayer, fasting and planning the church was birthed In October 1996, with a mandate from God to RESTORE individuals, REPAIR families, REBUILD communities and RELEASE disciples. The foundational scriptures are still Isaiah 61:1-4 Ezekiel 37:33-36 and II Corinthians 5:17:21. Born to bring wholeness to shattered hearts, Restoration Community Church labors with the power of Jesus Christ, to set free those bound by sin and held hostage by drugs or other perversion. Located in the middle of the community, rather than outside the area of need, this teaching, outreach center has and is, raising up, equipping and releasing, healthy, loving, powerful believers. These warriors, through the Word of God and the power of Holy Spirit, are manifesting righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost, resulting in changed individuals, families and communities.
Restoration of individuals are done in different ways. Prayer, counseling, teaching, fellowship, worship, service, and much more. But, whether through Unity in the Community, an apartment Complex outreach effort, Centennial Court Bible Studies at Langston University, or door to door witnessing in the neighborhood, the one on one - personal witnessing and winning souls to Christ is the objective. Then, once they are won, those souls are discipled to a place of maturity so they can bring restoration to other individuals and their families.
Repairing those families that have been affected by life or beaten down and scatter by who knows what, is an essential part of the vision. RCC effective tools are family retreats, conferences, and seminars. Panel discussions have been used with families to expose emotional, physical, or sexual abuse and have ministered to many, identifying the problems and offering Biblical solutions. Marital counseling, drug intervention like Second Chance, a weekly drug program, have mended families and been effective in overhauling the community.
Rebuilding the communities is an extremely rewarding and productive experience. Drawing people together through free, family, fun, and food events and Vacation Bible School or blessing the community with free clothing or school supplies has been rewarding. Serving the homeless or reading programs at the local schools are all efforts in neighborhood transformation and enable the power of Christ to be seen. – these disciples are released to do it all again.
As people grow in Christ, families are reunited and communities begin to thrive again, new disciples are equipped and released to go repeat the process. Eyes haven’t seen nor ears heard what our Heavenly Father has in store for this Body of believers. But what is certain, He is not finished with us yet. We know that we have been restored, repaired and rebuilt, that we might be released as instruments of justice, peace and love in the earth. From its inception Restoration has been about blessing others and believe the best is yet to come. Why don’t you come join us?
